Proposal for National AGM

At Area Bowling last week (18th February 2011) a proposal was tabled in relation to the splitting of Region 8 into two separate regions in line with the current Area Boundaries (see attached Letter and voting form).

At the meeting a quorum of Tables were present and voted unanimously to propose the amendment at the AGM in May, as a result I urge as many Tables as possible to be present at the National AGM in Blackpool to vote for the motion.

As far as the results for the Area Bowling, the Area Sports Officers report will appear shortly…

Hucknall Beer Festival

HRT had a great weekend supporting Hucknall Beer Festival, HRT members spent all weekend serving real ale at the festival with over 30 Real Ales, Ciders and Perrys.

With over 700 people attending they ran out of beer on the Saturday night so next year it will be bigger and better.

HRT578 helped the Hucknall John Godber Centre raise much needed funds for the future, great effort lads.

Who’s coming next year?

Eight from Leicester Do It Again

Eight members from Leicester de Montfort 500 were at it again. Each February they (Ash, Shahid, Hagger, Chan, Juddy, Bedford, Nigel, Bodd) AKA The MAG 8 travel to Europe to promote International Tabling.

Previous years trips to other European cities have all included visiting famous sites and taking in the cultural mix of entertainment on offer.

This year Prague was calling, MAG 8 were fortunate to visit Charles Bridge, see Prague Castle, wonder in The Old Town, frequent the bars by Wenceslas Square and promote International relations with the locals.

The Mag 8 truly represent what Table is all about, fellowship brought out from The Round Table experience.

Ashby 507 Charter

A good night was had by all at Ashby de la Zouch 507 Charter tonight, made all the better by two lovely hostesses giving frequent updates upon the victorious England vs Wales Rugby match at Cardiff.

A rousing chorus with the Ibstock Brick Brass band.
