Past meets Future at West Bridgford’s Charter

Arthur and James

Arthur and James

This year marked West Bridgford 601’s 50th Charter Anniversary. In addition to the usual fine food, wine, and speeches, the occasion was marked by 601’s oldest active member meeting the newest. Arthur Kemp (aged a mere 83) joined Round Table in 1963 and was West Bridgford’s Chairman in 1966 – a fine year for football too.  He remains active in 41 Club to this day.

The young whippersnapper shaking Arthur’s hand is James Hagreaves (27), who joined Table in October 2008 and is West Bridgford’s newest member.
